Singles Counseling and Mentorship
Mentoring emphasizes both the professional and personal development of the individual. Counseling seeks to explore the underlying dynamics of individuals and their relationships. Counselors and coaches both ask questions but counselors tend not to address tasks and performance. The boundary between coaching and counseling is not defined by a set of absolute rules or terms. In general, counselors are trained to diagnose and help client with emotional problems, the past or dysfunction while coaches are not. The coach’s domain is future oriented – what does the client want? And then, coaching the client to get there.
The period of been single tends to be a period of serious challenges which sometimes are not visible. This is a period that many seems to be free from much attachment but got so much emotional stress. With over two decades experience as a Relationship Expert, I have seen many single ladies and single men approach me with diverse issues affecting them in their private lives. They tend to look good when they are in the midst of their peers or family members, but when they are alone, they exhibit fears, worry, anxiety, depression…etc
Some of these singles get so worried on what next most especially on the issue of choice of partners and home to build. Finding the right partners tends to be a serious issue. Even when they get to be connected in relationship, maintaining the relationship sometimes becomes an issue. The issues with the single ladies and men is not limited to relationship with opposite sex or marital choice but issues with peer group, career, emotional stress, family burdens, etc tends to weigh many down.
It is very important to have a good and professionally trained Counselor and Coach to assist individuals who needs assistance to avoid making errors that could jeopardized their future or their entire lives
